Gamora, portrayed by Zoe Saldana in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a complex and formidable character first appearing in the 2014 movie Guardians of the Galaxy.
Adopted by Thanos after he decimated her planet and people, the Zen-Whoberis, Gamora was raised to be a highly skilled assassin. However, she eventually rebelled against Thanos, recognizing his genocidal ambitions and choosing to fight against him.
Joining the Guardians of the Galaxy, Gamora sought to protect the galaxy from threats, including her adoptive father. Her skills in combat, combined with her strategic mind, made her an invaluable member of the team. Gamora ultimately sacrificed herself to prevent Thanos from obtaining the Soul Stone.
